Lasik Eye Surgery?

Do you need to be a certain age to get Lasik? And around how much does it cost? And where are some good places to get Lasik?
Answer:
Before getting Lasik surgery, consider the careers you want to go in. For instance, already the Navy (and I believe most of the Military) disqualifies pilots who undergo Lasik. Eventually, airlines may do the same particularly as several crashes have occured. At my local hospitals, surgeons have already been told that they will no longer be able to perform surgery if they undergo Lasik. Nurses in certain areas also fall under this. So consider that if you want to go into fields where exacting vision is required. You can wear corrective lenses.I'm not a candidate for Lasik (already blind in one eye), so I don't have details, but you do want a place that has a good reputation in your area.
I would never suggest that someone so young, which I'm assuming you are has any sort of treatment like this, it is purely vanity at your age. Please don;t rush into this, I have considered laser treatment for various reasons including recreational sport etc. Try contact lenses first, Its not so bad wearing specs these days they can enhance ya "coolness" consider this first before you worry about what others may think of you wearing specs or contacts. After all for decades most people have thought you look more intelligent if you are a spec wearer. Price wise I think you can wave goodbye to anything between $500 to $1000 per eye if done properly.
Actually, a 100% raw-vegan diet will correct your vision and is much cheaper...
Generally, Lasik is not done on anyone under the age of 21. This is because you can still have significant vision changes till that age. The vision starts to level off between age 18-20. They also want your vision to be stable for about 6 months to 1 year. This means no significant change in your prescription. I don't think they would even consider performing Lasik on a 16 year old. If they would agreee-stay away because it is too good to be true.Hope this helps!
